Overview

BirdSpeech is loaded with features to help train your bird to talk:

BirdSpeech presents your bird a rich variety of spoken phrases and visual images to give context to the verbal messages.

These visual cues are consistent with the advice of experts:

In Guide To A Well-Behaved Parrot, Mattie Sue Athan advises, "Use Words in Context/Avoid Recordings: If you want a bird to merely mimic, a recording might be the most effective way to accomplish that objective. I believe, however, that the potential for damage is greater than the perceived benefits. Having to listen to the same 20 seconds of material over and over can stress the bird and contribute to screaming, unexplained aggression, self-mutilation, or intellectual withdrawal."

Offers a ready-to-use sample training session of seven common phrases and associated visual images:

• Hello
• Pretty Bird
• Luv You
• Nite Nite
• Kiss Kiss
• I Wanna Bath
• Whatcha Doin?

You can create an unlimited number of different subjects (i.e., phrases of spoken words) in your own voice. (You will need a properly installed microphone for recording new phrases.)

Two training session play options:

• Play for a specified number of minutes, and
• Play during a specified start and end time.

Many settings available to define a training session, such as:

• Number of repetitions of each subject;
• Length of silence before repeating the same subject;
• Length of pause between different subjects; and
• Length of pause before repeating the entire subject list.

Tailorable program options so your preferences can be used at program startup and during creation of new training sessions and subjects.
