SOMETIMES IT'S A MISUNDERSTANDING RATHER THAN A BUG
Some clients have complained that they keep seeing a breeder in the browse
screen even though they have sold the bird. This turned out to be a
misunderstanding rather than a bug. By design the default browse screen
showed all unarchived birds, including sold and deceased. We now
understand how confusing this can be, so we've added "Active" as a
browse screen show option which displays only living, unsold, unarchived
breeders.

AUTO-ARCHIVE ENHANCEMENT
AviMate remembers the last show option used whenever a browse screen is
presented. In most cases this is a good labor-saving feature, but
sometimes this can also lead to confusion so we've created an enhancement at
Rick Jordan's request. In the Options Wizard and in the Options Menu, you
can now tell AviMate to automatically archive breeder and nursery birds when
they are sold or declared deceased.
If you use this new auto-archive feature, you'll want to go to the Archive
Utility and have AviMate archive all previously sold and deceased breeder and
nursery birds as well.

OUR RECENT CHANGES SUMMARIZED:
Enhancement added in Version 3.0.49 (11/19/01)
1. Auto-archive option described above.
Problem fixed in Version 3.0.49 (11/19/01)
1. Patch install would not install properly if client had build 45.
Problems fixed in Version 3.0.46 (11/10/01)
1. Above described confusion in the breeder browse screen.
2. Comma was not allowed as a valid decimal symbol in currency fields within
invoice and payment screens. This caused some regional settings like
"French (Belgium)" to not work properly.
Problems fixed in Version 3.0.45 (9/901)
1. Screen was not refreshed after archiving a nursery record so it appeared that
nothing had happened. (If you moved off the record and then went back, the
record correctly disappeared.)

USE PATCH IF UPGRADING FROM BUILD 44, 45 OR 46
If you have build release 44, 45 or 46, download and run our 2.2 meg patch.
This will bring AviMate up to Version 3.0.49 (build 49).
If you have a build earlier than 44, you need to download and run the full
AviMate installation package. This program is smart enough to properly
install over your existing AviMate 3 program so please DO NOT uninstall AviMate
before running the new install program -- this will delete your AviMate 3
database!
We recommend you always backup your database before running either installation
program (the patch or full install version). It's good protection against
something bizarre happening!

AviMate 30-day trial business card CD from us for $8.95 ($.95 plus our standard
$8 US S&H fee). Later, when they purchase AviMate, we'll e-mail them their
