AVIMATE 2 SUPPORT
We have made it very clear in our previous newsletter: AviMate has not
been a money making proposition for us. We will be releasing AviMate 3 in
hopes of "turning the corner." We are pleased and appreciative
of the
folks who have supported us by ordering AviMate 3. On the other hand, we
are disappointed that a number of AviMate 2 users have chosen not to
upgrade. Certainly that is their prerogative, but they need to understand
that we cannot continue to provide technical support to them once AviMate
3 is released. These folks have enjoyed 17 maintenance releases and free
support for up to 3 years, despite the fact that our official warranty is
90 days like most software companies. Support has to go both ways.
How
many years would they support their clients, if they lost money? 5 years,
as we have?

BIRD SHOW DONATION UPDATE
Two additional bird shows have qualified to receive one of our 20 AviMate
donations. They are:
Bird Show 2001, Long Island Parrot Society, Oct
23rd Bird Exposition, Aviary and Caged Bird Society of S. FL, Oct
This brings the number of qualified bird shows to 8 and several more are
in the process of being validated. Show officials should contact me at
alex@buinc.com to work out donation details.
Minimum requirements: make
AviMate flyers available for pickup at the show plus whatever additional
visibility you give similar sponsors. US bird shows only. Provide a
credible flyer or ad to demonstrate that you are a legitimate show.
