1.0.6 10/6/96 Problem: When transferring from Nursery to Breeder Pair Inventory the "Status" field had "A" stored instead of "Active", which caused the transferred bird to not appear under the "active" browse option..
  Solution: Corrected code.

1.0.6a
1.0.6b
1.0.6c
11/18/96 Problem: Unpredictable installs.
Solution: Had problems with the versioning library (ver.dll). Ver.dl_ expanded to ver.dl instead if ver.dll. Once fixed we continued to have unpredictable installs due to the ver.dll file. Still under investigation. (Microsoft admits to several problems with their install program. See Microsoft's Knowledge Base.)

1.0.7 11/18/96 Problem: Install problems on Windows 3.1
Solution: Implemented new install engine and applied VSHARE.386, instead of SHARE.EXE program.

1.0.7a 11/21/96 Problem: Invoice Reports did not always give correct sub-totals.
  Solution: Corrected report files.

1.0.7b 12/26/96 Problem: Voided invoices were included in the Totals on the invoice summary reports.
  Solution: Corrected report files.

1.0.7c 1/4/97 Problem: 1. Nothing happened after clicking the export feature in report preview.

2. Sales tax field only accepted 1 decimal place, not allowing for 1/100's of a cent.

Solution: 1. Added missing dll files to install program.

2. Added 2 decimal places in sales tax field.

1.0.8 1/19/97 Problem: Production History was showing First and Last Clutch dates for pairs that had no clutch activity.
  Solution: Corrected code.

1.0.8a 1/23/97 Problem: AviMate Install did install all necessary files if user chose to do a compact or custom install.
  Solution: Corrected Install.

1.0.8b 1/31/97 Problem: When an egg was removed in Clutch Activities and the record saved, the egg would reappear. This only happened if you the user did not select the egg number, which highlighted the whole egg record.
  Solution: Corrected code.

1.0.8c 3/24/97 Problem: The command line option, "/R", for repairing the AviMate database did not include the archive database.
  Solution: Corrected code.

1.0.9 3/26/97 Problem: Occasionally a user would receive a "Type Mismatch" error when trying to view or print Production History. This error was a result of no date entered in the Date Laid field when creating a clutch record. This also resulted in a creation of clutch record with no Clutch ID.

** If you have this problem, apply this patch, then delete and recreate all clutches that do not contain a Clutch ID.

  Solution: Corrected code.

1.0.9a 4/10/97 Problem: 1. A printed Invoice sometimes would not display the City, State and Zip in the Sold To box.

2. The Nursery Detailed Report was not displaying the first character of several field labels.

Solution: Corrected code and report files.

1.0.9b 6/11/97 Problem: 1. Printing from the Contact Log screen will sometimes print a Contact record with no information. This occured if either the first name, last name, or company name was blank. There were also various formatting problems on the contact reports.

2. Some users reported that their invoices were not fitting on the page. The invoice would run off the right side.

Solution: Corrected code and report files.

1.0.9c 6/22/97 Problem: 1. The Add Record and Delete Record option under the Edit Menu selection was enabled during View/Edit Invoices. These options are not available in the View/Edit Invoices screen and when selected causes a "Property or control not found" error and close the AviMate program.

2. If an invoice is assigned an incomplete invoice number and its number is a subset of an existing invoice number, its line items and header information would be displayed with the invoice being printed. (Example; If an invoice assigned as 97-0001 is printed and an Invoice assigned as 97- existed, the items of 97- would be printed along with invoice 97-0001. The header information, sold to, ship via, ship date, etc. would always display the information recorded for invoice 97-)

  Solution: Corrected code.

1.0.9d 8/4/97 Problem: Calculating production history would sometimes give the error
"No Current Record" and would close AviMate.
  Solution: Corrected code.

1.0.9e 8/29/97 Problem: 1. Clutch reports did not display cage numbers when printing archived clutch information.

2. Fatal error messages now includes an error code. This error code is very useful when reporting problems to Boundaries Unlimited.

  Solution: Corrected code.

1.0.9f 8/29/97 Problem: Calculating production history for a breeder pair who had no clutch activities would give the error "No Current Record" and would close AviMate.
  Solution: Corrected code.

1.0.9g 9/1/97 Problem: The Clutch Activities would allowed invalid pair ID entries. This also caused problems when generating production history.
    Solution: Corrected code.

1.0.9h 11/25/97 Problem: Newer versions of the support files are available. These could possibly fix some problems on the latest releases of Windows 95.
    Solution: Updated files.

AviMate 1.0 Patch

If you have a prior version of AviMate or AviMate Lite, you can download the patch below. Once you have saved the file to your hard drive, double-click on it from the file manager (Windows 3.1) or the explorer (Windows 95). Follow the directions in the setup. You will need to know the directory name that your AviMate was installed in. If you accepted the defaults when you first installed AviMate, you can accept the defaults in the patch program.

Once you have installed the patch, check the version in the "About" screen as described in the FAQ section. It should report the same version number as the patch number.
